Canvas App Error - 'Incorrect argument type.'

Hello-

Some users getting this error message "Incorrect argument type." when opening the app and won't navigate from the loading screen. I have never seen this error before and haven't found any info specific to this error when searching. Any help would be appreciated.

@dalilis Hi,

Do you have anything special for App.OnStart or OnVisible ?

For example, those users use special regional settings , US vs GE e.g.

Try to use the Monitor Tool in Power Apps Studio, the built-in monitor tool can show you the exact formula or request failing.

You can find it when edit it,

or in https://make.powerapps.com/,

select the app, on the top, it will show you.

@dalilis,

The incorrect argument type may be some conversion issue you can debug the app.

Debug the app using this and check for the traces in the below table it will capture all the info, using that we can identify which code block or Power Fx formula is giving the error.

If you don't get any errors related to the issue connect with the user whom are facing this issue and try out the live monitor options as mentioned.

Thank you both for your responses. :) Unfortunately, the Live Monitor did not provide any actionable information, and we are still dealing with this issue. The current theory is that there is an issue with the SharePoint site on which the app's data sources are.

HI @dalilis, if it is possible can you please share app start logic (like App.Onstart or First screen OnVisible Property)? so that we can analyze the issue and solve it .
