Dataflow - licence required

Have done a proof of concept Dataflow, all works ok.

I will need to setup a proper one (update Dataverse from SQL Server table)  - Ideally I would like to run it as a non-interactive user but it is not clear if licencing wise I am allowed to do it as a non-interactive user.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Fubar ,

Please utilize the following document for licensing details on Dataflows:  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/dataflows/what-licenses-do-you-need-in-order-to-use-dataflows

Based on your use case I would expect you would need Power Apps licensing.

@dpoggemann thanks for the link.  Unfortunately doesn't definitively answer the question, as it only says to create one you need a licence, whereas what I am looking for is what is needed to run it (e.g. on a schedule).  Creating with a licence is fine, but what happens if we then set that user as non-interactive in dataverse and then remove the licence (a valid scenario for dataverse/Dynamics 365)

(Setting non-interactive and removing the licence my proof of concept still runs, just not sure if I would be in breech of licencing - and my proof of concept is on such low volume that it may be being tolerated vs the volume of the real one)

    Hi @Fubar ,

My understanding is you would need a license assigned whether this is a interactive or non-interactive user.  It may work but probably out of license compliance...  Another article discussing licensing as well (not Microsoft article)
