Hey together,

I need your help with my current powerapps project.

Background: I have my app to manage inventory. Landing page is a gallery1, where the whole inventory is listed. You can click on an item to jump into the detail screen where it is possible to book rentals.

I also have a screen where all current rentals are listed (Data source is a second sharepoint list where all bookings are documented).

My aim is to get a link from this screen to jump directly into the detail screen of the item I click on to make it easier and faster for the warehouseman, because at the moment he has to go back to the gallery of the whole inventory, search for the item and then click on it to get to detail screen.

I'm struggeling with the fact, that detail screen elements show data of gallery1.selected so i don't know if there is a possibility to select another item while acting in another screen.

Hope it's clear what I mean.

Thank you for your ideas and suggestions,

Lukas

    Hi @luwu_7100 ,

    As I understand it. You have a SharePoint List (let's call it List1) which contains a number of records displayed in a Gallery (Gallery1).

    You have another screen which contains a Form (the Detail screen). The Items property of that Form is Gallery1.Selected.

    You have another screen which also contains a Gallery (Gallery2). The Datasource for that Gallery is a different SharePoint List (let's call it List2).

    You want the Form to display the relevant record selected from either Gallery1 or Gallery2.

    Assuming the data source in the List2 includes an ID to identify each unique item in List1, you can use a Global Variable together with a Lookup instead of using Gallery1.Selected.

    On the OnSelect property of Gallery1 and on the OnSelect property of Gallery2, use:

    Set(
     varRecord,
     ThisItem.'Unique Identifier' //e.g inventory id or unique name
    )

    In the Items property of the Form, use:

    LookUp(
     'Your Inventory List',
     'Unique Identifier' = varRecord
    )
