Your Microsoft Copilot Studio trial has expired

Hi,

I built a chatbot using Power Virtual Agents in MS Teams a few months ago, extended the free trial a few times, and the free trial ended around 2 weeks ago.

I have the Office 365 E3 license, which I believe covers PVA when it is deployed in MS Teams.

Since the free trial's expiration 2 weeks ago, the chatbot has been working absolutely fine on the front-end for users.

This morning I needed to edit a topic, and headed into PVA in MS Teams, but was faced with the attached page labelled "Your Microsoft Copilot Studio trial has expired".

I can't seem to see or edit any of my topics at all.

I was under the impression that PVA was free to use and deploy solely in MS Teams, so I'm puzzled as to why I'm not able to edit my topics.

Can you please let me know if I've missed something?

    Hi @Anonymous,

Microsoft Copilot Studio for Microsoft Teams is indeed available as part of select Microsoft 365 subscriptions.

The below page describes the pros and cons of each version:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions#microsoft-copilot-studio-for-microsoft-teams-plan

In any case, the Microsoft Copilot Studio for Microsoft Teams version requires using the Power Virtual Agents app in Microsoft Teams, and not the web app: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/fundamentals-get-started?tabs=teams. This is the only version that's included in select Microsoft 365 / Office 365 plans.

In other words, deploying a Copilot Studio chatbot created on the web app (i.e. on https://web.powerva.microsoft.com/ or https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com/) requires a standalone subscription, irrespective of the deployed channel, even if it's only Microsoft Teams.

    Thanks @HenryJammes!

The only thing is that I built the bot in Teams itself using PVA, and my license already covers this, so that's why I was wondering why I'm not able to edit or see any of my topics.

Would you know why I'm not able to see or edit any of my topics even though my license covers building and deploying PVA bots in Teams?

    Thanks in advance

You're using the https://aka.ms/PVAForTeams and you don't see your bots / topics?
Do you have the appropriate permissions for your Teams and bot?

Yes I'm using PVA for Teams and I've got the required permissions - I created the bot and deployed it and our entire office is still using the bot and it's working for them.

The only thing is I can't see any of my topics and can't make any changes.

When I click on your link (https://aka.ms/PVAForTeams) it shows me this:

When I click 'Open' it takes me to this page (which was previously labelled Power Virtual Agents, but I'm guessing due to the rebranding of PVA its showing Microsoft Copilot Studio):

When I click on 'Copilots' at the top left, and I then select my bot, it then shows me this page and doesn't let me see or edit my bot nor its topics:

I'm just wondering how come it doesn't let me see or edit any of my topics since I built it in PVA in Teams itself and my Office E3 License already cover it (very weird situation!)

    Hi @HenryJammes

I'm still not able to see or edit any of my topics.

Would you know what the issue is or a support team at Microsoft that I could escalate this to?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure why you're seeing a trial message or why you can't seen or edit topics.

Can you, or a Power Platform admin in your organization, open a support request?

    Thanks @chaule!

I'm also using Microsoft Copilot Studio in Teams, and am still speaking with Microsoft Support to see why I can't see or edit any of my topics:
