Sales Order and Invoice Common Data Service Templates not working

Hi -

We are trying to get the Sales Order and Invoice Common Data Service templates working and we can't. Just a summary below of the work done:

  1. We have followed these Microsoft documents for setting up the prerequisites. One point, we are using the default price list (CRM 2016 ...I think), but is the same we need for products, so it should be fine as the product integration works fine.
    1. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/supply-chain/sales-marketing/sales-order-template-mapping?toc=dynamics365/unified-operations/fin-and-ops/toc.json
    2. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/supply-chain/sales-marketing/sales-invoice-template-mapping?toc=dynamics365/unified-operations/fin-and-ops/toc.json
  2. The other integrations (Accounts, Contacts, Products, and Sales Quotations) work perfectly.

Issue:

After creating a new Sales Order in D365 Ops, and after making sure the Calculate Sales Totals job has ended, we run the sales order project integration. The result is that we don't see any UPSERTS into CDM, nor we see any warnings / errors. So, the mappings are probably right, but there may be a condition we haven't met in either end system?

Has anyone run into a similar problem? How would be the best way to troubleshoot such problem? We opened a MS ticket but no luck getting someone just yet.

Thanks so much!

    Hi @Edoloto,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Could you please share more details about the Ticket information?

Please send me a Private message about that, I will then forward that from my side to check the current status.

Or contact me  directly through Email through v-micsh @microsoft dot com.

This issue has been resolved. The problem was that in order to create sales order to be syhcned with CRM trhough the CDS, the account used must be an account that was created first in CRM and then to the CDS and to AX. This is because this process sets the Is Maintained Externally to true.
