Data is not updated in SharePoint List

Hello Expert!

I have created a SharePoint customized form in PowerApps, there are some issue in saving , When anyone click on save button then in SharePoint list is not showing the updated data, every time I need to refresh my SharePoint list to et the updated records, Also I have refresh my dataset in PowerApps "On Save" action but still it's not working. It's very frustrating to refresh SharePoint manually every time to get updated records.

Note: In my SP list there are around 15K items and I have created Indexed column in SP list to fix SP threshold value(5K).

Hi @Anonymous ,

What is the Item of your Form? I see you are setting Variables, which will not always refresh when opening the form again. A good Item would be

LookUp( YourListName, ID = SharePointIntegration.SelectedListItemID )

Also what are all those Collections for ?

Hi Warren, Thanks for your reply

Is this item property for the form or particular any datacard?
I have used collections for my dropdown values in form.

Actually in the form everything is working fine, only In SP list to see updated data I need to refresh every time. Earlier everything was working fine, Is this is something related to SP threshold value since I have already crossed my Threshold value but I have created a indexed column to fix this issue, Till 16K records everything was working fine.

It is a suggestion for the Item of the Form - it should always refresh the Power App.

Hi @Anonymous ,

That will not help - it will only refresh it in Power Apps (and is not necessary). Bear in mind that sometimes SharePoint takes a little time to refresh (I have seen 10-15 seconds) when Power Apps is exited.

OK, So this is not related to PowerAppa right and also threshold value SP is not cause any problem in future??
Will user also faced any issue when SP list has more records like 30-40K?

Hi @Anonymous ,

I have lists and Libraries larger than that and have not seen a particular problem with refreshing (other than the time lag I mentioned). The thing you need to understand is that although the form is integrated, it is operating as a Power App and writing any data from the Power Apps "environment". When you close the form, SharePoint will refresh once the data gets back to its interface (as I mentioned there will be a delay). Refreshing in SharePoint of course immediately does this. My users simply accept the data has been written and don't need to "prove" this by seeing it immediately - it will be there the next time they need to look.

I've been experiencing a similar issue where before when a PowerApps form was submitted the Sharepoint list would update instantly, however since a few weeks ago it now doesn't refresh automatically and takes a manual refresh of the Sharepoint list to display the updated data. I have a feeling it may be more of a Sharepoint issue since the JSON formatting for one of my calculated columns also broke at the same time.
