Hei,

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the button on select background color for the whole app or do I have to change it for every button, one at a time?

Button background colors are managed per button. So there is no way to make a change at the app level and have it apply to every button. What you can do is select multiple buttons and then change the background color for all the selected buttons at once. You can also set a button color to be equal to another button's color. Then if you change that buttons color it will change the one that points to it.
