Hi Team,
Somebody provides me the solution for How can we work with Typing Action in PVA and which parameter needs to pass in Name and value fields after selecting typing action.

Hi @sagarwalkgl,

As far as I am aware this will simply sent an typing activity/animation to the client. This way it looks like the bot is busy typing, just like a human. You can even leave those name and value fields empty.

Below is an example

1. An example topic setup, without any values

Hi @Expiscornovus
If I am using Typing Activity in mid like between two Actions then Typing Activity is not showing if I am Selecting in end of the conversation then it is showing .
could you please provide me the solution how can we use this activity in mid of the conversation?

Hi @sagarwalkgl ,

Its better to show the typing activity based on some condition. For example please see the below example.

In the below example I'm setting the variable to Default true and once the flow run is complete I'm setting the same variable to false. This will make the typing activity stop automatically once the variable value is change to false.

@sagarwalkgl @PriyankaGeethik @Expiscornovus - With the latest update of PVA, we no need to add any typing activity and do configuration. Now its taken care out of the box. Please check at your end.

Hi!

Thank you for sharing your setup.

I use the same setup as yours but the typing action didn't work. I test in some of my topics. They all not work. Is there any possible reason for this?

Hello @YakeLiu ,
Which teams version are you using?
The typing indicator appears only in old teams, New Teams doesn't show typing indicator still , it's under investigation by Microsoft.
Hope this clarify your doubts.

Hi,
Thank you for your help. I am using Microsoft Teams Version 1.7.00.6058 (64-bit). But I am not developing chatbot within Teams. Is there a specific reason for that information, or is there anything else I can provide to assist with troubleshooting the chatbot development?

Hello @YakeLiu ,
Just an update typing indicator now appears in NEW Teams as well.
The typing indicator should appear until bot responds to your question. The ideal scenario can be invoke an action, generative ai response as such.
Would you able to provide a screen shot of topic where you are expecting the typing activity to show up?

Thanks for your update.
For the typing indicator, I want it to show up whenever chatbot need to answer questions so it will be applied on all topic. so it can be also a greeting topic. I am not sure if this answer your question.
