Today variables coloring and comments color changed in power apps. (yesterday it was still green for comments)

Comments (block and line comments) color is not fushia!

Variables are now green instead of blue.

Why changing standards of comments color? WHY?! I look at my code and see all variables in green and my brain doesnt compute.

I'm sorry but I am so used to old style or code color of visual studio. Thats a no go for me.

Is there a way to configure text code coloring to use standard or other colors for that.

Wait until you look for the Collections and Variables content (hint - check the new icon in the left menu instead of the three dots at the top . . .)

Interesting enough it`s mentioned in the release notes for the most recent US preview studio version 3.23042, which somehow made it though an EMEA hosted environment with a refresh cadence set to 'Frequent'.
I could hope only that the distribution might not depend on the defined browser language rather than the environments` region...

I tested around and the former known colors are available again with studio version 3.23041.11 because there the CSS class for comments "span.token-comment" is used.
In all newier version like the recommended one now 3.23042.12 as well as 3.23043.8 for comments the CSS class "span.token-self" is used now for comments instead of the right one...

And by the release note page for version 3.2304.12 there is no mention of any color changes...
So, someone changed this by "accident" - and in production so its GA? 🙂🤔

Hi friends, sorry about this! The syntax coloring change is the result of a bug - not something we planned or intended. We put in a fix to get it back to normal which is in Studio version 3.23044.4 which is currently deploying.
