Hi,

I have generated a PDF from a powerapps form. All the text input entered fields are there in pdf but all the dropdown values are empty in the PDF file. Is there any work around on this?

    Hi @Rashmi_17 , How are you generating the PDF? You need to provide more information. Based on your approach, I can understand whether there is any issue in approach or is there any limitation.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @ANB ,

    I have written this code in onselect property of my save button.

    Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
       User().Email,
        "Protocol Submission",
        "A new Protocol has been submitted for your review. Please see attached.",
        {
            Attachments: Table(
                 {
                     Name: "submittedProtocol.pdf",
                     ContentBytes: PDF(Container1)
                 }
             )
        }
    );

    Hi @Rashmi_17 , Thanks for the code but again this doesn't give any information regarding dropdown. I hope that you are not using this PDF function for your production application. Because this PDF() is still in experimental phase and even Microsoft doesn't recommend to use in production apps.

    Now, coming to your issue, can you help me more on Container1? I mean of course you must be having dropdown in this container which is having issue.

    1. Does this issue occur in edit mode also?
    2. Are you doing any operation like selecting the value from dropdown and saving the dropdown value to source?
    3. Then showing the saved value to the default property of dropdown?

    Please give some more information on dropdown. Because we don't know the configuration done of dropdown.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @ANB

    Thanks for the reply. Yes indeed we cant use PDF function in production. So is there any way to generate PDF from sharepoint list using power automate then?
    About the dropdown,
    If(DataCardValue5.Selected.Value="other, please specify own value",
       {Value: Other_choice_1.Text},

        If(!IsBlank(DataCardValue5.Selected.Value), DataCardValue5.Selected, {Value: DataCardValue5.SearchText}

          )
    )

    i have these conditions. Maybe due to that. Not sure.

    Hi @ANB

    Thanks for the link. I tried this too, apparently you need Premium access to use the feature 'Populate from word doc' in power automate. So could not move forward with the steps.

    Hi @Rashmi_17 , Have you checked the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFlwYy8ijiA

    For this i dont think there is requirement of premium license.
