Connection Permission Popup - Frequency

I am seeking information on what drives the platform to ask a user to confirm connections after the first time an app is run.

I have noticed that since February 1 (New Engine), people are being presented with the connection popup often and screenshots show nothing wrong with any of the connections. I can understand perhaps a connection refresh every few months, but multiple times a day is excessive. Even clearing cache has not resolved it.

Can anyone provide additional information on the official frequency and why it might occur more often?

I am told that Microsoft is participating in the New Engine thread and that is where you should report every single issue.

Agreed, recently with the new engine so many issues being popping up.

For e.g. Dataverse schema name and logical errors every day this is hitting hardly, cut the formula paste it again save publish working again clock repeats.

We can consolidate all those issues and ask microsoft for the feedback.

    Thanks for the information.

It's not a viable solution to turn off the only means for end users to know that connections are bad.

The correct Microsoft change is to not pop up that dialog unless there is an actual connection issues (100% all the time).

I posted here because I see that popup often and all of the connections are green every time.

However you can disable the permission popup using the commands.

This issue happens to me as well. The connection screen that appears show all 3 app connections as green (connected). That popup should never appear unless there is a connection issue.

There is no official statement except to say when a user's tokens are invalidated for any reason it will ask them to refresh, or if the flow or data underlying or app has changed in any way that would do this. There are a myriad of reasons for this as it all relates not to simply "hey I have a connection", but the underlying security/auth tech process in the bottom that has to keep it refresh for people, even when/if it seems the connection itself is good.

so its possible something has changed an either a bug was introduced where the token is not being refreshed properly, or that it was in fact wrong before and now asks when it should, no way to really know with the product team live debugging the back end + Azure etc.

Question: they grand permission to create the connections, but does each person have a ton of connections then? Or just the same ones (please have one of them verify via Shared Screen)
