Enabling Site Navigation Menu - Model Driven Apps

Hi everyone,

I have a model driven app which I have created three security roles for: Admin, Standard and Read Only. The Read Only role is a copy of the Standard role with the only difference between the two being that the Read Only does not have any create or write permissions for any of the tables present in the app.

My issue is that users who have been assigned the Read Only role do not have access to the left hand menu/site navigation that the Admin and Standard users have access to. I'm not sure which entity I need to look at to enable privileges allowing them to have access to the site navigation but I have checked anything related to sitemap, app or dashboard and these privileges are all set in the same way as the other two roles so I'm a bit stumped as to where I've gone wrong.

If anybody has any suggestions for how I can get the site navigation menu to be visible for Read Only users, they would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

    Solved using the following steps:

    • Selected the app within the solution
    • Clicked "Share" in the top taskbar
    • Selected the app again from the pop up window that appears when you hit "Share"
    • Selected the security roles required from the dropdown next to Dataverse.
My read only security role had not been selected so once I clicked on it using the above steps the site navigation menu became visible for users assigned to that role.
