Limitations of Copilot Studio

I have a database of 1,400 software titles that I want Copilot Studio to query without limiting responses. During testing, Copilot often restricts answers to three. For example, when asked for video editing software, it lists 3 titles, though there are 10 in the database. Even when prompted for more, it only adds a few at a time. I need instructions to ensure Copilot provides all relevant titles in response to queries. Can anyone help?

Hi annetoal,

Yes this is a well-known limitation when using Microsoft Copilot Studio. Copilot balances clarity, token size, and user experience.

Can you let know what kind of data source is being used?

But there are workarounds that you can try to retrieve all relevant entries.
- Use Power Automate to query your full list. Filter the result and return it to Copilot Studio and can display using Adaptive card.

- If you are using Azure, then your titles are stored in an Azure Search index. Azure AI Search has more flexibility to custom ranking and result sizes.

LLMs for generative AI are designed to summarize information, they don't list all titles or sale products by default.
To show them all, you need to use an action.
