I am using AI Builder inside Copilot Studio to analyse the question, and I am testing the bot with five people.

It works for three out of five people. When I debug it, it seems to stop at the AI Builder node.

I cannot find any information on AIModelActionBadRequest on the internet.

I find it interesting, that the error is only happening with a few people instead of everyone, as I cannot replicate it.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

i haven't come across error but interested to understand if these users who are getting error have power platform licenses or not?
Prerequisites
An environment that’s on the list of available regions.
At least one of the following licenses: Power Apps, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio.
A Microsoft Dataverse database that's installed on the environment.
A created or accessible Dataverse table with data.
(If you don't have a Copilot Studio license) An AI Builder add-on.

I am using Prompt by AI Builder to analyze the user's question and another prompt to extract the entities using AI.

- The bot is in the US environment, so yes AI is supported I checked. I previously had the bot in the Switzerland region, if that environment was an issue.

- We have Copilot Studio licenses assigned

- Users have Microsoft 365 Business Standard

- I have assigned Power Automate license as well

This is only affecting some users but not all. The users are in the same physical location.

They have the same settings in Microsoft Entra like I do.

We're experiencing this exact same problem with our bot, but it's intermittent. There's literally only one search result coming back from Google on this exact error code. So the reply about licenses, regions, Dataverse should not apply to our current situation.

Any insight or even guesses on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Ensure all users have identical permissions and access rights within Copilot Studio and any data sources involved. In some cases, restricted access for certain users could affect data retrieval and model actions.

Review the AI Builder model configuration in Copilot Studio. Ensure the input fields match what the model expects, and validate any preprocessing steps. Sometimes, minor misconfigurations can lead to errors when the model encounters unexpected data types.

We seem to occasionally see this error as a transient one - i.e. retry and it often goes away. Perhaps it is symptomatic of a model query timeout or resource contention?

There is also a Microsoft Q&A answer here indicating it occurs with responses over 500KB.
