Renaming Combo Box on Modern Form Broke It

Long-time PowerApps user, first-time modern form user, and it's not starting off well. 😠

I put a modern form on a screen and connected it to a SharePoint Online list. The list has 15 single-choice fields.

ISSUE: Value inputs (combo boxes) will not hold values.

What triggered the issue? I renamed the value inputs (combo boxes) in the data cards (to ease the process of scripting calculations based on these values).

For the above example, I changed the value input name from "DataCardValue21" to "ic10".

That's all it took. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

PART II

This time, all I did was double-click on the combo box name to copy it,

and now the combo box won't even display the list of choices.

    Yeah that sucks
     
    Question. Can you use the Field, to Deselect the one (just the initial one you renamed), so its removed. Save and then put it back?
     
    if that doesn't work do the same to the other controls
    if that doesn't work you'll need to redo the form, which is the worst :-(
