Hello All
we have an environment for makers that called Playground and it should only be used for non production apps, but some users make apps on it and share it with business users, so the sharing function is totally closed now, but this hinders the collaboration between makers!
is there a way to prevent Environment Makers to share apps for anyone who is not Environment Maker
Are you using an Environment from type "Development" or is it a normal (aka Sandbox / Production) Environment that you internally use as development? What you want to achieve is not possible with an environment from type "Development". In case you use a normal environment you can't prevent to share the app but as mentioned before you can restrict which user can use the app.
Thank you so much for the reply, we have a limitation that we need to make this access control on a Dev environment, and as be the below screenshot from Microsoft documentation, this solution can't be done.
is there any other suggestion from your side?
Hello @MohanadElsayed1,
You could control access to the environment using a security group: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/control-user-access
This would prevent users not in the security group from accessing the environment altogether.
Alternatively, if you do not assign a security role to users who are not supposed to be makers, they will not be able to launch an app even if it is shared with them.
