Trying to Display a PenInput Image, as well as a Recorded Audio into Display Form in PowerApps

Hello!! I am hoping that someone might be able to help me with this! I have a PowerApp where I have a form that faculty fill out for student feedback. I have both a pen input for a signature, as well as a recording data card so that faculty can record their feedback for students and students can just listen to it! I am displaying this data in a Gallery, and then have a details page where I have a Display Form with all the content! At one point, I was able to successfully show the pen input signature, as well as have the recorded audio in there. I'm not sure if I somehow broke something, or if something changed with PowerApps, but it no longer works! Is there a way to have both of those items show up in my Display form? I have the input signatures going into a signature document library in Sharepoint, and the recorded audio goes into an Audio Document tLibrary in Sharepoint (I used Flow to do both). Everything with that works great, and each time something is submitted, I can see the new signatures and audio, but just can't figure out how to get it to display in a Display Form for students to view on the details page! Thank you so much for any an all help!!

    Hi @Mrfunk ,

Could you please share more details about your App? Do you mean you were able to display the signature and audio before, but without any modification the functions are broken now?

Hi @v-jefferni! Thank you so much for responding and trying to help me! Sure!! Yes, at one point, I was able to display the signature and audio recording captured from my form, and have them displayed in a Display Form for users to see afterwards, but all of a sudden it is no longer working. I have also restored older versions of my app where it was working, and it doesn't work in those versions any longer? Do you know if it's possible to display a pen input image, as well as an audio recording in a Display form? The signatures from my pen input, and the audio recordings go into separate SharePoint Document Libraries. I'm wondering if I need to somehow get the urls for these items to show up in my SharePoint list where the rest of the information from my form is captured?

    Thank you so much!!

    Hi @Mrfunk ,

Since you have stored the signature images and records in the library, you could use the LookUp columns in the list and set them look up to the corresponding file and display their names in the list.

Here are the videos talking about this scenario:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXWyDgDEHPo

    https://www.spguides.com/powerapps-upload-file-to-sharepoint-document-library/

You could store the item ID of the uploaded file in the list as well to easily find the file with the help of LookUp function and display them along with the Form.

    Hope this helps.

Hi @v-jefferni! Thank you so much!! Yes, I am trying to do the LookUp columns, but something isn't quite right yet! I have the following code set to my Image!

    LookUp(SignatureDocLibrary,Name=(FacultySignature_DataCard1.Image), 'Thumbnail ({Thumbnail})'.Large)

    Screen Shot 2021-07-12 at 12.12.04 PM.png

It doesn't give me an error message, but it does show a delegation warning, and the image still isn't showing up! What am I doing wrong?

Thank you so much for everything!

    Hi @Mrfunk ,

Assuming your signature column name is FacultySignature which is a LookUp column and get information from the ID column of the library, then the formula should be:

    LookUp(SignatureDocLibrary,ID = ThisItem.FacultySignature.Id).Thumbnail.Large

I'm not quite clear with your situation, if this does not work please provide me more details about the columns of the list and library.

    Hope this helps.

    @v-jefferni You are AMAZING!!

My original column in my SharePoint list was not a lookup column (I couldn't ever get them to work with me), but I went ahead and created one and it worked and I can now see the image displayed! Thank you so very much! I greatly appreciate your time and help! Thank you!

I did, however, run into a new problem! My lookup in column in my SharePoint list won't auto-update with the ID. Do you know if there is a way for it to do that? Maybe with a Flow? I'll have to do some more researching.

Thank you so much again, you are awesome!!

    Hi @Mrfunk ï¼Œ

For the new problem, it depends on the way of uploading the signature and record, you will be able to get the file ID with the help of Flow, the approach is in the video link of my first reply. You could retrieve file ID with the formula like below if your flow have the action "SharePoint create file" and "Respond to Power Apps":

    Set(varFileID, Flow.Run(...).ID)
