You do not have a valid PowerApps Plan

Hello,

I tried to use the PowerApps custom visual in PowerBI to add my app from PowerApps, but got the message "You do not have a valid PowerApps plan. To access PowerApps you must have a PowerApps plan assigned to you by your organization etc etc"

I am assuming this message was a result of an inadequate licensing.  Can someone please confirm?

Thanks,

Lilian

    @lseow

    Yes, it's time to go have a chat with the IT department about purchasing/assigning you a license. Cat LOL

    Also, you will want to make sure any users of the app have a Power BI Pro license.  If you do not currently have this you can login to Power BI and claim a free trial.

    Hi @lseow ,

    Please go to the Power BI site directly and see if you have the proper license for Power BI service there.

    You can only be able to access the connectors' data from PowerApps when you have the proper license of the connectors.

    Regards,

    Mona

    Yes, I have the Power BI Pro license.  I also have the PowerApps P1 license.  What type of licensing am I missing exactly that gave me that error?

    Again, the error came when I tried to use the Power Apps custom visual within Power BI.  Hope this is clear.

    Bottomline is I do not have adequate PowerApps licensing.  And the licensing model with PowerApps is another beast to understand. Anyway talking to my IT department now.

    I have the same problem: I have the Power BI Pro and Power Apps licenses, but am getting this message. Any resolution?
