.MSApp file format – need to read externally

Hello, I am a PhD student, and I hope to use PowerApps as a platform for my research. My question now is whether there is a way to use other software to read the content of the .MSApp file and modify it instead of simply opening it in PowerApps. Any information about how to read the .MSApp file for offline processing or analysis would be appreciated!

    There is a Power Apps source code tool available on Github that you can use to modify the PowerFX in the source code.  This article talks about how to install and use the tool.  Power Apps Source Code Tool - Matthew Devaney
