Hi!

Is it possible to link the Leave Request template to a Sharepoint list for the data source?

If so what would be the type of column be for each column heading?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Kris,

So this is what I have done so far.

I have created the SP list Screenshot.

I have added it as a data source.

I have changed the confirmation screen OnVisible to link to the SP list. The name of the list is LeaveRequest

I have added the screenshots for these as attachments. Can you check that I'm going in the correct direction.

I cant actually test the leave request app as when Im creating a new request I cant seem to click on a name in the GalleryChangeApprover when selecting a user to "submit a request" The name will highlight but not actually select

    Hi @AB21 ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to connect the Leave Request template app to your own SP List data source rather than the built-in collection data?

The user @Dee1 has faced similar issue with you, please check my response within the following thread:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Portals/Leave-Request-PowerApp-no-Option-to-Create-Excel-Data-Sheet-in/m-p/413954

On your side, you should create corresponding SP List for the related collection data source. Then add these SP Lists as data source into your app. Within your SP List, for the date column header, you should create a Date type column to store its value, for other column headers, you could create a Single Text type column to store value.

Please consider take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

    Best regards,
