Hello,
I'm wondering if there is now a way to change the Created By field from a Power App. I have a Sharepoint Document Library with a connected Power App form and I would like to make the Created By field editable so users can assign a different creator to the document they upload. But when saving I get the error that the field is read only and cannot be modified.
I'm hoping to find a solution for this as a new custom field would lead to lots of updating in my connected Power Automate workflows so I'm trying to avoid that 🙂

Not the news you want, but I don't think you can update the created by field using power apps. You may be able to do it via Power Automate or by PowerShell.
The only other option you have, which you don't want to go down is the extra column
