Environments without a URL

Hello,

Please can someone shed some light for me - why is it that some environments do not show a URL when clicking into their settings and/or do not display in the general Power Platform environments flyout menu?

I'm aware that they're still very much accessible by using their environment ID that is visible, but wanted to try and understand the potential cause or reason. Is this due to not having Dataverse added to that environment, for example?

See example image below - no URL present:

Thanks

Have they been created without database?

In my testing so far, that has indeed been the case.

Is there a reason for this - e.g. it's expected behaviour that environments will not display a URL if they are without Dataverse DB?

    Hi

Environments that display the URL are those that have an associated Dataverse instance associated with them, as this is where the data model is accessed through the model-driven application.

When an environment does not have a database, it does not have a URL because a Model Driven is not associated with it either. You can work at the Canvas Apps environment level and some components but you will not have tables and therefore you will not be able to create a Model Driven

    Hi,

Please make sure you are having DATAVERSE environment associated with this Environment.

You need to create dataverse database first then it will create a URL for you. also it will create OOB tables in the background and you can use it according to your need.
