Hi All

I have a form I have built for COVID-19,when an Employee tests positive for COVID-19 I want to be able to link all the people He/She was  close to using  the case number for example case-001 that has been logged for this person that has tested positive .

This can be up to 30 people ,I want to also be able to also create new cases for those individuals using  that similar form. It is a sql table I have created and the form for contacts is called close contacts .The Close Contacts are our  Employees in a table called Employees.

Any ideas how can build this ?

    Hi @rmaziwis

It looks like you have a one to many relationship between Employee and contacts.  To see how to create a form that works to do this please check my blog post https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/News-Announcements/Relational-Database-Principles-and-PowerApps-Step-3-Keys-and/ba-p/188640 and the one following it https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/News-Announcements/Relational-Database-Design-fundamentals-Implementing-a-One-to/ba-p/200521  that shows how to implement the relationship in PowerApps.

Modeling human relationships can be much more complex that it appears at first and is more of an art than a science. In your case, some of the contacts may be employees too. Here is a post that relates to potential complexities with regards to this issue.   http://allenbrowne.com/AppHuman.html
