Editor doesn't show the canvas app - just a grey screen

Hi,

Editor is just showing a grey screen instead of the app, tried saving, clearing cache etc, nothings worked......any suggestions?

Appears the latest authoring version is the issue rolled back to version 3.23074.17 and its now visible again.....typical MS change something and then its broken.

There appears to be a few other instances of encountering this issue but apparently not widespread. As rolling back to a previous authoring version still seems to be required to have the edit screen appear (not greyed out) - am now wondering now that whatever change was made to the authoring version may be ongoing with future authoring version updates and is no longer compatible with my canvas app?

If you switch off the modern control and themes setting, save and close your app then re-open the editor it will work fine without having to roll back versions.

Whilst a solution - what if I want to use those?

I completely agree and it seems like this bug is not affecting enough users for Microsoft to care. 😥

If you would like to still use the modern controls, you can leave the setting on but comment out the record in the theme setting of the app like below:

Thanks, just got an email from MS for a flow thats failed 722 times......it's run maybe 3 times a week and so obviously they updated stuff over that side of things too.........flow hasn't been edited for 2 years....its just a constant "what did MS break now" sometimes.....
