Turn off initial welcome message

Hello, I have created a bot in Teams and would like to turn off or edit the initial welcome message (Hi! I'm a virtual agent. I can help with account questions, orders, store information, and more.  If you'd like to speak to a human agent, let me know at any time. So, what can I help you with today?). Is this doable?
Thanks in advance,

Mark

    @MNixey

    Yes, you can change this message and publish your bot after change it. (normally will available in 15 minutes after publishing your modification)

    You can see better my steps below: (sorry the images are unsorted here, but you can see down to up)

    Hi @renatoromao. I understand what you're saying, and when I test the bot everything works as expected (and as you describe). What I'm saying is that when you then publish a bot to Teams, you get the default message without typing anything - the message is just provided by the bot as an automatic welcome...

    Cheers,

    hI @MNixey ,

    You need to click on "Go to authoring canvas" button, the same as this part of my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syiR0OU90ac&list=PLWGKTxKF5vWc9YwqLkZB34oqJ1FGxrlSk&index=6&t=68

    You are seeing 52 trigger phrases, this information that your bot will recognize when the user sends a message like "hi bot" "hello bot" or something like that. You need to go to the topic edition.

    Hi Renato, thanks for the speedy reply. When I look at the greeting topic, I see a list of 52 greetings. None of them say "Hi! I'm a virtual agent. I can help with account questions, orders, store information, and more." When I first open the bot in Teams, the message is displayed and it's not relevant to my bot so that's why I'm looking to change it.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    hI @MNixey ,

    Yes, sure!

    You can open your chatbot, go to Topics, find a topic called "Greetings" (if you are using in another language, search about welcome, greetings or something like that in your language), open this topic and edit messages and actions.

    You will not able to disable or delete this topic because is a System topic, but you can edit messages and actions and questions and also redirect to your custom topic (if you want).
