I am rebuilding my app to work in offline mode.
I really need to find a way to trigger a function as soon as the user reconnects to internet, doesn't matter in what screen he is currently at

I think the only way to achieve this is using a timer that executes like every 5 or 10 seconds and checks the user connectivity, once the connectivity restored you can disable the timer and then when ever the user do an operation that requires internet connectivity and it is not successful you can re enable the timer.
To enable/disable a timer you can use the Start property of the timer.
