Hello,

I have several entity fields in my model driven application that have security set to only be edited by selected individuals. With read rights  to everyone. However the data in those fields show up as astericks (**)  instead of displaying.

I have not been able to find a fix for this. Anyone have the answer>?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you want to some people could only read the entity, while some could read and write the entity?

I suggest you give different people different permission on this entity.

You could set this in Paltform Admin center. (you need to be admin)

Firstly, create two new security roles. One could only read the entity, one could read and write the entity.

Then, assign different roles to different users.

Then, when running your app, some could read, some could also write.

    Best regards,

    Hello

I have sence fixed this issue. The security isn't at the entity level. It is at the field level.

FYI for all who may incounter this. When setting field level permission create a a field security profile for your organization and add those secure edit fields to that securirty profile with the option of read only.

Having the security profile set for organization allows you to add any field you made secure  from editing also readable.  You set this profile once and add fields to the profile as needed.
