Private database for user

Hi all,

I need to make a Powerapp in Teams which has a private table for a user.

More specific: the app contains a table, the user can update the table with a form but the user can only see his entries, not the entries of other users.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

    Hi @MathiasGijsels ,

This is a standard capability within the Dataverse outside of Teams where you can assign security roles that will allow users to view only their records.

Internal Team Members are given "Teams Member" access which provides access to all records in the Dataverse for teams (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/about-teams-environment#user-access-to-dataverse-for-teams-environments).

You would need to upgrade to standard Dataverse licensing to control the way you are looking here.

Hope this helps.  Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.

    Thanks,

    Hi @MathiasGijsels,

If the data source for the Table is Dataverse for Teams, unfortunately the security configuration does not allow you to restrict data between Team Members. Team Members have access to all data. Only Guests added to the Team from outside the Tenant will be restricted to see data they create.

More information about Dataverse for Teams security here

To achieve your scenario, you would need to use a full Dataverse database, which would require those using it to have a Power Apps per user or per app plan. Or you would need to look at using a SharePoint List and setup item level permissions so that users can only see their own items.
