Change the default of a form to blank

I've created a form to be able to read, add and edit records in a sharepoint list. I have a list and search box on the left and the form on the right. I'd like the form to be blank as default until an option has been chosen. It currently shows records 1 from the sharepoint list as the default. What change do I need to make to make the form blank.? DefaultMode is currently

If(newMode, FormMode.New, editMode, FormMode.Edit, FormMode.View) i'm not certain though if the change needs to be made there or elsewhere.

I would leave the configuration as is - it seems to be spot on.
The trick is to not have something selected in the gallery when the user arrives on your screen.
In the OnVisible property of your screen reset the gallery e.g. Reset(Gallery1)
In the Default property of your gallery put {} (open and close braces/curly brackets)
