Azure SQL Database and connection to local files

Hello,

I need to ask for components of a solution I am trying to make and I would prefer not to make any blunders.

We are looking to build a solution which should be able to:

  • enter data manually into a database
  • display data from the database in both original and transformed ways
  • load excel files and save them into the database
  • edit loaded data
  • connect to local files, transform them and save data to be displayed/used in an app (ETL)
  • display reports based on data in BI

I am thinking this could be accomplished with a combination of:

  • PowerApps
  • Power BI
  • Azure SQL Server
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure Data Factory

Am I missing something? Maybe some Azure storage (the role of offered storage options is a little confusing to me)...

Thank you so much for any input.

    Hi @JanBuzek ,

    What does "transformed ways" mean?

To connector SQL local DB, you still need On-premises Gateway to establish the connection between SQL and PowerApps.

For more reference: What is an on-premises data gateway?

    Best regards,

    Sik
