Maker Portal Access Read-Only Table Access

We have team of developers adjacent to our main development team. They need read-only access to many Dataverse Tables. However, they want to view the relationships of the tables (or even entity diagrams). If we give them access to the Maker Portal, the alternate team may possibly be able to edit on accident.

Any suggestions on meeting the constraints for this group for Dataverse Security Roles?

You will need to create your custom role with only read only on the records that you, and copied the same parameters for the other table and system setting from maker role.

But there is no much sense to have a developer without these permission, because if have to develop a insert will not be able to test that.

    Hi @rodrick_hales

To develop in Power Apps you will need at least the Customizer role, any role lower than that will not allow you to customize the application or the Database, so it is not logical to give it read-only permissions.

If you want to see the changes it makes to new tables or new fields you can use an editor for them

Thanks for all of your responses. The new team was able to accept the read-only access to the tables in question without having to access the Maker portal.
