Add a member to a Team StatusCode 403 in Power Apps Flows but not in Power Automate manual triggers

Hello fellow pp users,

I`m encountering some issues with an app we built for users to request access to a specific MS Team.

I am using the connector - Add a member to a Team. Users click on a button within the power app and a flow runs to add that user to the MS Team.

For some reason it doesn`t work anymore - I get the below error:

Action 'Add_a_member_to_a_team' failed: You do not have permission to perform this operation.

Opening the flow from within the Power App shows a statusCode of 403. The flow uses When Power Apps calls a flow (v2) connector.

I created a manually triggered flow as a mirror to the one above and it doesn`t fail. It works as expected.

I created another Power App with a new flow, same connectors, etc, and am sadly getting the same error.

Anyone encountered this or knows how to solve it ?

    hey

i think your issue is a better fit for the power automate section of this forum to be found here:

FYI all - this was an easy fix. Turns out I was running some of the connectors as the logged in user . You can change how some connectors react/act as - for example you can have some connectors trigger as the app user, and others as the app owner.  This fixed the issues I was having with Teams and SharePoint actions.

This is how I did it:

Go to your flow , open it in Power Automate
Don`t edit the flow, click Edit under Run only users

Under Connections used you will see all the connectors used in your flow
Each of them have a drop down and an option to change from "Provided by run-only user" which means the user that is using the Power App, to a different connection, such as your account.

Hope this may help someone else one day.
