This app ran into a problem.

Hi

I have imported a templated canvas app into a client site. The template works absolutely fine in my environment, however when I use it in the client site, it throws an error - but gives me no indication why its failing, simply states there was a problem:

If I go into the app checker there are no errors..... so does anyone have any idea how I can get an idea where the problem is?

Thanks

I just had the same issue this morning on one of my apps that I was editing.

Hi - in the end I fixed the problem, which was to do with a gallery that was embedded within another gallery.

Unfortunately I found it the in an inefficient way, which is to say I ended up commenting out large chunks the code and running the app until it was stable, then replacing the code until I could find what was causing the error.........

Nothing was "wrong" with my app, so this seemed the only way I could find the issue 😞

I was scratching my head on a similar issue with nested galleries and getting a "This app ran into a problem" error.  Turns out my issue was adding a tabindex on the nested gallery would trigger this error.  I recreated it from scratch and noticed that I didn't run into the issue again until I added a non -1 value for tabindex as recommended by the app checker.

I'm commenting in case this is helpful to someone else.  I wasted so much time trying to find the resolution to my issue.

I didn't change anything on my app, just closed and reopened it. Haven't seen the error again. There were a lot issues with the stability of the Power Platform yesterday which may have resulted in this error for me.

I know this is an old thread now, but I wanted to add that I kept getting the error repeatedly, once again with Nested Galleries. @tcholmes solution worked great. Changing the tab index to -1 on both galleries removed the problem.

    Hello,
I also get this message when creating a new component.
I don't understand why or how, but when i click new commponent, the new one is created inside an existing one crashing the whole thing. Closing the app and reopening it all work until i create a new component. I also tried restoring an older version of the canvas app but at somepoint it happen again. So i tried restoring an older version of Powerapps, worked for longer and happened again...
I have 13 component before the crash.
If somone had the same issue...

Edit : I created a new app from scratch and exported my components. That crash happened after i placed a vertical container, then putting a custom component in it, then i tried to create a new component and it crash

Edit2 : Tried to repeate the bug and it did not worked.... I don't understand anymore

I have this error too, I try to change tab index property in my nested galleries, and it doesn't work, this happens when I navigate to a specific screen, the OnVisible property of that screens is empty.
