Hello,

For a model driven app,  in a main form, how to hide commands in form's command bar. for example, we want to hide these buttons

* Deactivate

* Email a link

* assign

We also want to write our own code for "Share a link".

how to implement this? we can write web resources, but generally want to avoid PCF and plug in development

    Most everything in PowerApps has a Visible property. You can put a variable in that property and then change the value to toggle the visibility. You can limit controls to certain users, you can make controls visible after certain fields are filled in, it is really up to you. For the sharing code you will probably want to use the Launch command

    Thanks. In Form editor,  fields have visibility controls, but i don't find where to customize "Command" for a form. would you point to where to find the customization of command? thanks

    Sorry - I misread what you were saying -

    I thought you were talking about the SP Form that you can customize in PowerApps. Can you post a screen shot of what you want to customize?

    Now I see - this is not a PowerApp - that is why I was unsure which buttons you were referring to. Your issue is in Dynamics. I would suggest you try this forum:

    Sorry I was unable to help

    Thanks. It is model driven powerapp. We are developing a custom entity with its own forms and views.

    Hi @jamesyang ,

    Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I think the Ribbon Workbench solution Tool could achieve your needs. The user Teresa24486 has faced similar needs with you, please check my response within the following thread:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Hide-flow-email-a-link-on-model-driven-app-form/m-p/600344

    Please also check and see if the following article would help in your scenario:

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/191248/hide-command-bar-menu/484899

    Through the Ribbon Workbench solution Tool, you could customize the Custom Ribbon action using your own JavaScript code.

    Please try above solution, check if the issue is solved.

    Regards,

    Thanks. We will try the ribbon workbench.

    as an alternative solution, can we use a custom security role to remove the commands: update, assign, email? i would think if a user does not have these permissions, the commands will automatically be hidden.
