Hi,
I am currently navigating the learning curve of Microsoft's Power Virtual Agent and the Bot Framework Composer, and I am hoping you might be able to assist me with a concern that has arisen during my project.
Specifically, I am attempting to design a bot using a blend of Power Virtual Agent and Bot Framework Composer to generate weather updates. Within the Bot Framework Composer, I have successfully created a dialog and integrated an HTTP request to access weather data. I've been able to use variables from Power Virtual Agent (i.e., virtualagent.property name), but I've hit a roadblock with how these variables persist in the conversation.
On the initial query, the chatbot works perfectly, delivering the requested weather information. However, when I ask a follow-up question, the bot retrieves the prior query's value rather than updating to reflect the current request. This seems to be tied to the global variable in Power Virtual Agent retaining the previous value throughout the conversation.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could shed some light on how I might reset the global variable in Power Virtual Agent after each request, ensuring the bot provides the correct, updated information with each query.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message and for any guidance you might be able to offer. I look forward to your response.
Best Regards,
Ibrahiem
