Hi
I'm new to PowerApps and running on the Community Plan to explore the possibilitites.
Now: App development (canvas/model) is OK, but I can't create a Power Apps Trial "Portal" so far, because the Button is missing (see attachment). Any idea?
Thanks in advance;-)
The Power Apps Portal has different licensing than Power Apps, so its not covered by the Community plan.
@HoPe-CH ,I am using Community Plan, but i can see portal button enabled for me and I provisioned portal as well. Screenshot below.
Hi folks, Thanks so far for your replies!
Portals are generally available, right? So no dependencies from location?
@HoPe-CH ,
I don't think there is any location constraint. I didn't even noticed that mentioned in documentation so far.
Hi @Bilakanti , so I have a 365 Business Premium, Power Apps Plan 2 Trial, Power Automate Free and Power BI free in my subscritions in 365 admin center. Do you have different ones?
I can see only below Licenses when I login within my community plan credentials.
@HoPe-CH
Portals have a dependency on Dataverse. Therefore, if you've subscribed to the community plan, but have not provisioned a database (by clicking the data menu item from the left hand navigation menu), that would be one reason why you can't create a portal.
To test this further, can you confirm that you're able to succesfully create a model driven app from the menu item in the screenshot that you posted?
Hi @timl , Yes - I can confirm, that the creation of model driven apps is possible and successful. So, Dataverse seems to be up and running.
Hi @HoPe-CH
Can you confirm - is the new portal option also missing in the 'New app' menu item?
Also, what geographic region are you based in?
Hi @timl - I can confirm, that the portal option is mssing in the New-Menu as well
When searching for "Portal", I get the option. But clicking on it has no effect at all
In the meantine I think about, that my Business Plan is blocking this feature. Referring to @Bilakanti , where in his environment the option is there without any other subscritption beside the Community Plan.
