Hey Folks,

I am experiencing two blocking issues with Model Context Protocol (MCP) configuration in Copilot Studio:
ISSUE 1: MCP feature disabled - Cannot create records
- Error: "It appears that creating a new record is not possible at this time because the MCP feature is disabled for this organization, resulting in a 'Forbidden' error when attempting to list available tables"
- This error occurs when attempting to create new records in Copilot Studio
- The error prevents access to data operations and record creation functionality
- Agents cannot interact with Dataverse tables due to this restriction

ISSUE 2: Cannot access advanced settings for MCP configuration
- Environment: RV/Renewals-Test and RV/Renewals-Prd
- Location: Power Platform Admin Center → Environment Settings → Dataverse Model Context Protocol
- When clicking "Advanced Settings" link to configure MCP client permissions, we receive error:
  * "Unknown Entity Name - The entity name doesn't exist. Please specify an existing entity name"
- Error Details:
  * Service Request ID: 467b7b5-0ce4-49ff-abef-4a0b7b26670a
  * Timestamp: 11/18/2025 1:08:45 AM UTC
- The basic toggle "Allow MCP clients to interact with Dataverse MCP server" is already enabled
- We cannot access Advanced Settings to configure the allowed MCP clients list

IMPACT:
- Unable to create records or perform data operations in Copilot Studio agents
- Unable to configure MCP client permissions and security settings
- Agents cannot interact with Dataverse tables
- Blocking development and deployment of Copilot Studio solutions

TROUBLESHOOTING ALREADY ATTEMPTED:
- Verified user has Power Platform Administrator and System Administrator permissions
- Enabled basic MCP toggle "Allow MCP clients to interact with Dataverse MCP server" in environment settings
- Attempted to access Advanced Settings from multiple environments (both Test and Production)
- Tested in different browsers and cleared cache
- Reviewed MCP documentation on Microsoft Learn

Any help is appreciated

I have the same question (2)

    hello

    If you enable MCP from the feature pannel inside the env settings from en admin, and if you have a dataverse in your env. you must be able to use it. (Or you have a strange DLP activated by master admin of you'r PP : did you check all DLP apply by "master" admin of all you'r env and DLP ?

    If everything is ok, it's sadly time to open a ticket in you'r portal, every time i saw this kind of error was when people had MCP block from the env settings or using the old MCP

    Are you able to manage you'r dataverse table "the old way" : going inside table manually from the table tab ? (shortcut is not in copilot studio, you could have it from power apps and power automate) .
