Hi,
I’m following the Microsoft documentation here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/audit-data-azure-synapse-link
In the section “Connect Dataverse audit table to Synapse workspace”, the guide mentions an "Auditing" or "Audit" table. However, when I try to set up the Synapse Link, I’m unable to locate any table with that name in the available table list.
Here’s what I’ve already configured:
Enabled environment auditing via the Power Platform admin center.
Enabled table-level auditing by checking "Audit changes to its data" under the advanced options for all relevant tables in Power Apps.
My goal is to export Power Platform audit logs to a Storage Account and, if possible, forward that data into an Azure Log Analytics workspace for further analysis.
Could you clarify:
Is there an expected delay before the audit table appears in Synapse Link?
Is there any additional configuration needed to make the audit data exportable via Synapse?
If Synapse cannot be used for this purpose, is there a supported alternative to stream audit logs to Log Analytics?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks for your detailed explanation—you're definitely on the right track. Based on the latest Microsoft documentation and community discussions, here are some key clarifications regarding your issue:
The "Audit" or "Auditing" table may not appear in the Synapse Link table list unless certain conditions are met:
If Synapse Link doesn’t work for your audit export needs, consider this supported alternative:
Microsoft Purview Audit (formerly Microsoft 365 Compliance Center):
Power Platform Admin API:
Would you like help setting up one of these alternatives, or would you prefer to troubleshoot the Synapse Link path further?
