Hi,
I Hope someone can help!

I have created a powerapp application which links to the CDS Entity and when i view the Entity all the dates are in the correct format (DD/MM/YYYY).

BUT.....When i export the data to Excel the dates then appear in the wrong format (MM/DD/YYYY)

Is there some settings or something that needs to be amended?

Please Help

Steve

    Hi @sskinner ,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think it is an normal behavior. According to the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue is related to default date time format in Excel and Common Data Service.

Currently, there is no direct solution to force the date format in the exported Excel to a specific format. If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As an alternative solution, you could consider edit the exported Excel, then convert the date time value into a specific format manually.

Really....There's no way to export a date from the CDS into Excel in the correct format!
This seems crazy that we can amend the format in the CDS etc....but when we export it just changes the actual date format and that's just ok ? and the solution is to manually change it.....when the whole point of all this stuff is to Automate and have AI....

Please someone - this surely cant be correct? it should be a simple task! i.e. export a date in the same format it is in the CDS !!!

Please note I have also checked my PC's system settings and these are all correct - see attached

    Hi @sskinner ,

Actually, Excel determines the default date format based on the format defined in your operating system. Please make sure the region setting of your current PC is same with that in your current PowerApps Environment.

If the issue still exists, please consider submit an support ticket for further help through the following link:

    Best regards,
