We have a situation where we are using D365 with linked document library (SharePoint) online. The document library is now over 5000 records.
As a result, we are now getting Document Threshold error in the model driven app.
I can access files ok in SharePoint, however it looks like the API call from Dataverse to SharePoint is no longer supported.
Is there any clarification on this?
Hi, has anyone found the solution to this yet?? I made one of the columns as indexed on the sharepoint and it worked, but when someone tries to sort the columns in the model driven app where this column is present on the subgrid, the throttling error is back. Please let me know if anyone has found a permanent solution to this.
We have encountered same/similar isssue, since deploying Wave 1 2024.
We dont have 5000 items in a single library - but do have over 350K libraries with one or two documents in each. Which until last week didnt seem to cause an issue.
What we noticed and are currently in conversation with Microsoft about ,is that if we use the All Documents view on a subgrid, with the related item field set to the parent record, we get the throttling message.
As a workaround, try opening the related Documents tab on the form - that pops up an Associated View, which you cant unfortunately use on the subgrid.... That works for us, but has to opened record by record. That kind of implies its not a Sharepoint Performance issue as the files are available through the associated view. It looks like an issue with the way the subgrid and the All Documents view renders.
If we solve it will let you know...
I am seeing the same issue, this has been marked as solved but I am not seeing a solution here as my document library has been indexed and records each have a folder.
Does anybody have solution to this? This must come up regularly as it is not unusual for a client to have more than 5000 items in a library including folders.
Hello everyone, I have been facing the same issue, please let me know if any of you have found a solution to this.
Thank you in advance
I trust this message finds you well. I am currently facing a similar issue where the Dynamics throttling limit has been exceeded during an operation to SharePoint. I noticed that the original post regarding this issue has been marked as resolved.
Could you please share the steps or solution that helped you overcome this problem? Your insights would be invaluable, and it could assist me and others encountering the same challenge.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
I think what you are experiencing is the known limitation here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/doc-management-known-issues#sharepoint-enforces-resource-throttling-with-5000-or-more-documents
