Power Automate Run Not Starting

I created a copilot agent from within teams and told it the URL of the power automate flow to execute, and to ask me for a URL to pass as a parameter. That process works, and copilot says it is running the flow, but from power automate I never see the flow get triggered and copilot never responds with the results or an error message.

This is what it says:
Thank you for providing the report URL. I will now pass this URL to Power Automate and trigger the flow. Please hold on for a moment while I process this request.

What else do I need to do to get copilot to run a power automate flow?
I have the same question (0)

you have to create the flow with the trigger "from copilot studio" : best to do it in tools/action screen and create new flow to have it connected.
Other way of connecting are not intending to be used. I will recommand you to use agent flow.

oh and last but not least : you said you create from teams, i suppose you speak about the old "PVA for teams" converted in "copilot studio for teams" : it s not at the same level of update of real copilot studio, i will recommande going to the real one : https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com/ and deploy to your channel

Thanks @Romain The Low-Code Bearded Bear I have the right trigger in place, so I'm suspecting the issue is within the teams version of copilot studio, so I will have to look into the real version and have my IT department install, allow it.

In the mean-time, you mention PVA, do you know if perhaps the teams version, being a hold over needs the PVA as the trigger vs copilot?

Did you set up the run-only permissions settings for your flow? See example below:

For further reference, check this blog: https://digitalmill.net/2025/04/28/starting-a-power-automate-flow-from-a-copilot-studio-agent/ (detailed instructions for run-only settings are under Add a record to a SharePoint List with Power Automate section).

Thanks @rzaneti I did setup run only permissions for the AD group of my team, is there a system (copilot) user I need to plug in for it instead or in addition to the team?

I believe that no other settings are required for making it work from Teams (at least from my experience with Agents deployed to Teams so far).

Are you experiencing the same issue when you test the agent through the Copilot Studio test pane? If yes, please enable the Show activity map when testing setting and check if it executes the Power Automate flow (it probably doesn't, in this case).

@rzaneti ok I think the problem is the copilot studio from within teams is a crappy attempt to replicate the actual copilot studio so I don't have the options you're referring to and the various web tutorials are not applicable as well. Currently organization policy is blocking the use of copilot studio so I will have to work with my it dept to open that up.
