Clear button getting cut off on textbox

When enabling 'Clear' on a text box, the X button gets cut off:
 
 
The only thing that shifts its position is if I change the height of the textbox to something stupidly narrow (like 20, down from the default 40):

Changing the padding has no affect. Does anyone have any other suggestions

    Works perfectly here (height is 40) - where is this Text Input placed and have you changed any settings ?

    Its just a default text box, with the only change being clear set to true. Not sure what other settings might impact this.

    Seems the issue is specific to Firefox. If I open in Chrome, the clear button is correctly aligned.

    I think you have it - FireFox at times does other strange things to the formatting of an app
