Hi there

I have created a dataverse table with all our vehicle details etc What i want to do is show all that info as a table in a canvas app but also be able to edit it and write back and update the source. I added the data using the Data Table layout but unable to select each row to be able to put any formulas in to go to next screen for editing etc How will i go about this?

    Hi  @BianceBee ,

Please refer to the official doc about Data Table Contorl:

Data table control in Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

    Not yet available

    • Customize the styling of individual columns.
    • Add a Data table control in a form control.
    • Change the height of all rows.
    • Show images in a Data table control.
    • Show fields from related tables.
    • Use built-in functionality to filter and sort data by column heading.
    • Add a Data table control in a Gallery control.
    • Edit data in the Data table control.
    • Select multiple rows.

For your scenario, you can leverage the Gallery Control instead, below is an excellent tutorial for Gallery control:

    @BianceBee

Even better let powerapps build the app. It will do everything you are asking. Start at make.powerapps.com and create a new app using dataverse and select your table.

Thanks for this @v-jefferni , i didnt realise that the editing data in the data table is not yet available. That answered that question for me 🙂

Thanks @Drrickryp i did do it this way at first but they would like it to only have two screens where they see all the data on one screen and click on the record and be able to update/edit it.

I just couldn't figure out how to add the table on one screen with all the data and be able to edit it once record was selected
