SQL Connector is using Names Pipes to connect to a remote SQL Server

I have been testing (heavily) the new Data Flows for Power Platform. While trying to use it to migrate data from a remote SQL Server DB hosted in AWS, I hit a roadblock with the connector. It took me a while to find out that apparently the SQL Server connector is trying to use Names Pipes (which is supposed to be used locally). It worth mentioning that I am using a Data Gateway and the same data flow works flawlessly in two other environments. The only difference is that I had to (of course) build a new connection in this environment.

Any suggestions? workarounds?

Update:

I found out starting from this morning data flows are not able to use data-gateway in some environments, even though the data gateways status is connected and fine.
