Hi,

We're currently linking our Dataverse environment, which is integrated through LifeCycle services with our D365 Finance & Operations environment to a Microsoft Fabric workspace.

We're doing this through make.powerapps.com => tables => Analyze => Link to Microsoft Fabric

According to documentation, all non-system tables in dataverse that have Track Changes enabled are automatically included in the link:

For our particular environment, we have 917 Dataverse tables which are linked to our Fabric workspace.

However when trying to add our D365 Finance & Operations tables, we encounter the following error:

I'm not able to find any official documentation regarding a limit for 1.000 tables.

I was however able to find the following (bottom error):

Which feels very related.

Does anybody know if there really is a 1.000 table limit even after creating the link?

Is this limit temporary or permanent?

The suggested workaround in the common troubleshooting guide is not applicable for our scenario.

Any advice/help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hey @HMSNemanja

This does sound like a question for Microsoft Support to be fair. But I am assuming the 1,000 hard limit is including all tables including all Dataverse abd D365 F&O table cumulatively.

Can you assess all 917 of your tables are required? Possibly remove some from the link ?

Sorry probably not much help, I would go to Microsoft Support with this.

Thank you for your reply!

I communicated with some of my contacts at Microsoft and got confirmations that:
The 1.000 tables limit is for Dynamics D365 and D365 Finance & Operations tables (cumulative).
This is in fact not documented in any official documentation as of right now, apart from the troubleshooting guide I provided in my original question.

We're currently not using a single Dataverse table in our data engineering in Microsoft Fabric.
However, removing tables from the link is not supported so I'm unable to remove them and add Finance & Operations tables.

With that being said, knowing what I know now, I completely agree that this is a question for Microsoft and I don't expect anybody in the community to be able to provide more information on it.
