Bug with copy and Paste links

Hello,

I have big issue with creating Links in our chatbot. When creating hyperlink and pasting the value, it looked like this:

http://intranetvzp.vzp.cz/vnitrni_predpisy_2008/_layouts/15/WopiFrame.aspx?sourcedoc={16C417B1-EEC0-4971-BCD9-34D8EB6DAFE4}&file=PR1118.docx&action=default

when pasted and used, it goes like this:

http://intranetvzp.vzp.cz/vnitrni_predpisy_2008/_layouts/15/WopiFrame2.aspx?sourcedoc=%7B%7B16C417B1-EEC0-4971-BCD9-34D8EB6DAFE4%7D%7D&file=PR1118.docx&action=default

For some reason it changes symbol { with %7b and } with %7d, it works like this so it is ok. But, for some reason it is created twice, as you can see up and I have to manually overwrite it, which is very time consuming. As it is internal Helpdesk chatbot, we talked about dozens of links and they could change in future.

Power automate is not working in our company because some IT security stuff, so no workaround there.

Also trying to copy through the notepad or with Ctrl + Shift + V or combination not working.

Can you look at this sort of bug and do something with it? Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Petr K.

    Hi @PetrKozousek ,

It's weird, but the PVA is trying to convert a text to ASCII Encoding References: HTML URL Encoding Reference (w3schools.com)

And this one: URL Encoding of Special Characters (n-able.com)

In my opinion, you need to change manually those links when you have any of those characters, then paste the link into the PVA bot. I guess will work well.

If the problem persists, you can raise a ticket here: http://powervirtualagents.microsoft.com/en-us/support

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi @renatoromao,

thanks for the advice. It was my thought before too, that I will use macro in excel to change the symbols with ASCII as you mentioned it above (Didn't know this is the case, now I'm smarter 🙂 )

I just wanted to skip the step of the middle part, but well, I have to work with what I have 🙂

    Have a nice day,

    Petr K.

    @PetrKozousek ,

I hope to have it easily ready natively as soon as possible 🙂 (keep our fingers crossed)

    You're welcome! 🙂
