Dependency Error on an Import to Next ENV - ErrorCode-2147188707

Hi Folks

Looking fore some advice on a dependency error when I tried to import a managed solution to my UAT power APP ENV (from Dev where it all works lovely)

Context

Ive pasted in 3x slides from a PPT which I created. As im looking for some internal support; So I created these.

It starts with 2x Canvas apps I created – All Good (Apps 1 & 2 , with Dataverse tables)

I then add a model driven app and all is good.

All is working in DEV and accessible etc

Its my company policy to use solution export/import so this is where it goes wrong.

Now I will state that I managed to use the solution to export  Apps 1 &  2 all the way to my UAT and PRD. So the solution export/import was working fine.

However when I added Apps 3 into the solution along with the table; I get dependency errors which is referencing the Model Driven App – This is called Scotland Reporting. Its very very simple – 5x fields; 2x lookups.

Solution Display name is below as its referenced in the error

BTW - I was going to just delete Apps 3 and DB3 100% completely and start again; but I would rather fix it.

Error from the solution import is below

[{"SolutionValidationResultType":"Error","Message":"The following solution cannot be imported: MACE_PROJECT_EDIT. Some dependencies are missing.

The missing dependencies are : <MissingDependencies><MissingDependency><Required type=\"62\" schemaName=\"crdc8_ScotlandReporting\" solution=\"Active\" /><Dependent type=\"80\" schemaName=\"crdc8_ScotlandReporting\" displayName=\"Scotland Reporting\" /></MissingDependency></MissingDependencies> , ProductUpdatesOnly : False","ErrorCode":-2147188707,"AdditionalInfo":null}]

@jimmyg706 - please could you share a larger screenshot of the missing dependencies window. At present it is not readable.

@jimmyg706 - when configuring a Site Map, you can configure specific icons to be displayed in the model driven app navigation pane. However, even if you select one of the out-of-the-box icons, that icon might not exist in the target environment you're deploying the solution over to. The fix is to select a different icon, publish the solution and try to run the import again.

Thanks @Amik    hen you say configuring a site map? Are you talining about the Model Driven form etc?

I essentially just took what it created with some minial changes on text labels etc.

    No fancy images added

@jimmyg706 - sorry I misread that image. Your Model Driven App is missing the entire Site Map component (called "ScotlandReporting").

In your Solution, click on your Model Driven App and click "+ Add required components", then check if that Site Map appears under Site Maps.

@jimmyg706 - please click into your actual Solution to view the components.

    @Amik

What I did was created a new solution and just added the Model Driven app into it with no dataverse table (which it needs).

There was an option to say check objects  (within the solution) and add  missing objects and dependencies.

So when I did this – it added the other apps; their tables and it added the missing site map.

It was very bizarre; but always learning.
