Organization issue after importing the PowerApps package into the new instance

Hi,

My question is related with the import of power-apps package.

When we import the power-apps application package into a new organization,
we also get the flows associated with it. But the issue is,

1) I need to manually change the organization that is being used inside the flow.

For example, if I am creating a case record in the flow with "xyz" organization(where the flow was created) it is not by default updated to the new organization where it is imported as in the below image:

Flow error.png

Do we have any settings to be done so that the organization is updated to the new organization where the flow is imported?

2) I get the error where the data sources are used. Even though the same data sources are already present in the new instance. Please find the error in the image below:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi @Anonymous,

For your first question, when you import a flow from one environment to another environment (not in same Org), the connection to a action in your flow would not be updated to the new instance automatically. You must update the connection to the action in your flow manually.

Currently, there is no way to update the connection of a action in a flow automatically from one Organization to another Organization.

For your second question, even though, the new instance has same data source as that in your previous instance, the connection of a action in your flow would be invalid when you import the flow from one Organization to another Organization.

As I mentioned above, currently within Microsoft Flow, you could only update the connection to the action in a flow manually.

If you would like this feature to be improved, please submit an idea to Microsoft Flow Ideas Forum:

    Best regards,

    Kris
