Hi, We're looking to improve governance of Power Platform and one area that needs to be addresses is the Default Environment. Ideally we'd like to be able to migrate any apps, etc from Default to a new environment. If we set up a new environment for SharePoint Canvas Apps/Forms will it be possible to migrate any existing apps/forms from the Default environment and still have them connected to the original SharePoint list?
@SteveWedgeKB Ideally you want to set up a minimum of 3 environments: Dev, Test and Production, and corresponding SharePoint sites/libraries. You should then create a temporary solution in your default environment to contain your Canvas Apps (and other customisations), export these as unmanaged and then import this in your new Dev environment. Once it's there, connect it up to the SharePoint site/library corresponding to your development environment.
The next step would be to setup your baseline solutions in your development environment and include your Canvas Apps and customisations in there. These solutions will be long running and act as the containers that you subsequently use to promote your apps and customisations to your Test and Production environments using an ALM process. You should then hopefully be able to use mechanisms within this ALM process to ensure that the apps in each environment connect up to their respective SharePoint sites/libraries.
