How to Capture Multiple Images and Save into New Folder in SharePoint/OneDrive using PowerApps

Hello Experts,

I am creating a PowerApps app where:

  • I need to capture multiple images using the Camera control.
  • Each time the user submits, I want to create a new folder automatically (based on submission ID or date/time).
  • All captured images should be stored inside that newly created folder.

My current progress:

  • I am able to capture single/multiple images using Collect() into a collection.
  • I am able to upload images to a SharePoint Document Library / OneDrive folder.

But the challenge is:

  • How to automatically create a new folder each time a user submits?
  • How to store all images inside that newly created folder?

Expected Flow:

  • User opens the app → Captures multiple images.
  • On submit → A new folder is created in the document library (ex: Submission_001, Submission_002, etc.).
  • All captured images are uploaded into that folder.

Can someone please guide me with:

  • PowerApps formula or best practice.
  • Whether Power Automate flow is needed for creating the folder & storing multiple images.
  • Any sample app / step-by-step guide would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Without seeing your current process, it is a bit hard to be specific, however you will certainly need a Flow as a file cannot be created in a SharePoint Library or OneDrive folder without one. Likewise, creating a Folder in either requires a Flow.
Broadly speaking, it is possible to send multiple files in a single flow using some JSON and Array trickery, but it is far easier to simply run the same flow for each picture. Your Flow would look something like this
